“Alhamdulillah esport sudah mendapat pengakuan. Makanya saya dan teman-teman di IESPL giat menggelar kegiatan-kegiatan turnamen. Seperti yang sedang akan berlangsung ini, TBoF, ini akan menjadi liga utama esports bagi para pro gamers professional se Indonesia. Kita akan menyelenggarakan hari Jumat setiap pekan,” beber Giring.

Giring mengatakan sejak kecil sudah tergila-gila bermain games. Setelah menikah dan memiliki anak, hobi tersebut tetap berjalan hingga sekarang, bahkan menurun pada putra sulungnya Zidan.
Ditengah maraknya berita negative soal anak kecanduan bermain games, Giring bilang semuanya tidak terlepas dari pola didik orang tua terhadap anaknya.
“Kebetulan saya salah satu penggiat digital parenting. Saya juga diangkat sebagai Duta Sahabat Anak oleh Lembaga Perlindungan Anak Indonesia (LPAI). Banyak yang bertanya bagaimana menjadi orang tua yang bijak di era digital seperti sekarang ini? Pengalaman pribadi saya dan istri, kami memperkenalkan konsep hak dan kewajiban terhadap anak-anak. Zidan setelah melaksanakan kewajiban, seperti belajar, ngaji, les piano dan lain-lain . biasanya akan telepon saya. Ayah tugasku sudah selesai semua, boleh nggak aku main fortnite? Kalau di hari libur saya biarkan main fortnite dari sejak bangun tidur. Bahkan kami sering main bareng. Tapi begitu di hari sekolah, dia hanya saya perbolehkan nonton orang main fortnite di YouTube,” kisah Giring.

“Nggak bisa begitu . Kita harus dukung apa maunya anak, selama itu bermuatan positif. Termasuk ketika Zidan mau jadi atlet esport, saya mendukung. Saya bilang ke dia, kalau mau atlet , ya harus sungguh-sungguh . sama seperti ketika saya memutuskan jadi penyanyi, saya serius dan berhasil membuktikan. Kalau Zidan lagi semangat jadi atlet espost, sementara dua adiknya Jasmine dan Aisyah lagi senang-senangnya jadi YouTuber. Saya buatkan akun untuk mereka.
