Dr Fify Mulyani dari Kabid Dinas Kesehatan DKI Jakarta menuturkan dengan rutin berolah raga , orang akan tampak lebih muda dari usianya yang sebenarnya.
Bahkan dengan olahraga harapan hidup akan semakin meningkat. Hal ini sejalan dengan data BPS DKI yang menyebut angka harapan hidup meningkat di 2010, untuk usia 71 tahun mencapai 72 persen.
“Dengan berolahraga 30 menit, hindari rokok dan menjaga pola hidup yang sehat akan menjaga lansia menjadi sehat, bugar dan aktif, DKI mengapresiasi acara ini dan semoga terus berlanjut dan usia boleh bertambah tapi semangat bagaimana mengisi hari-hari dengan berproduktivitas,” ungkapnya disela-sela acara Festival Senam Lansia di Balaikota DKI Jakarta, akhir pekan lalu.
Festival senam lansia ini merupakan bagian dari perayaan hari Lansia sedunia yang jatuh setiap tanggal 29 Mei.
Festival kali ini diselenggaraan Yayasan Sahabat Lansia Indonesia (YSLI) melalui Komunitas Lansia Indonesia , Bugar Sehat dan Aktif (KLIBSA). Selain Festival Senam, pada kesempatan yang sama juga digelar Pameran Produk-produk UKM serta seminar sosialisasi kesehatan bagi lansia.
Ketua Pembina YSLI, Sylvia Djardjis Husman mengatakan dengan tingkat kesadaran menjaga kesehatan, turut berpengaruh pada kualitas hidup para lansia kini.
“Dulu itu usia 60 tahun sudah masuk kategori lansia. Sekarang dengan tingkat kualitas hidup yang semakin baik, mungkin usia 65 baru masuk kategori lansia,” kata Sylvia.
Sylvia menambahkan sejatinya para lansia di Indonesia harus hidup bahagia. Setelah sekian lama berjibaku dengan rutinitas pekerjaan menghidupi keluarga, di saat anak-anak sudah mentas, sudah berumah tangga. Maka saatnya para lansia aktif dengan komunitasnya.
“Di Luar negeri, lansia-lansia itu hidupnya disenangkan. Disini? Tidak terkoordinir, masih banyak yang tidak tahu mau ngapain. Harusnya semangat, selalu bergembira dan tetap aktif. Festival senam ini salah satu contoh kegiatan positif yang melibatkan para lansia. Alhamdulillah ketika saya sampaikan ide ini pada Pak Gubernuer Anis Baswedan, beliau mengapresiasi. Tahun ini melibatkan 20 komunitas senam dan seminar setiap tahun bekerjasama dengan RS MMC dan YARSI,” papar Sylvia.
Sementara itu, Deputi Pembudayaan Olahraga Kemenpora, Raden Isnanta mengapresiasi kegiatan Festival Senam bagi lansia ini.
“Saya apresiasi Ibu Sylvia yang telah menciptakan senam untuk lansia ini. Sebagaimana banyak komunitas telah memiliki senam . Senam untuk santri, senam untuk pelajar. Sekarang ada senam untuk lansia. Bahkan setiap 4 tahun sekali kemenpora melahirkan senam dengan geraka-gerakan yang baru. Senam untuk lansia gerakan-gerakannya tentu sangat minimal risiko. ,” ujar Raden Isnanta.
Raden Isnanta menambahkan populasi lansia Indonesia diatas 7 %, data susenas tahun 2015 jumlahnya sebanyak 21,5 juta jiwa.
Empat tahun kemudian di tahun 2019 jumlah lanjut usia (lansia) telah mencapai 26 juta orang. Bahkan diperkirakan pada tahun 2025 akan mencapai 65 juta.
Populasi lansia yang terus meningkat dikarenakan gaya hidup sehat yang terus diusung para lansia.
“Usia panjang itu selain memang pemberian Tuhan, tapi juga tidak diperoleh secara gratis. Tapi sudah dimaintan sejak usia muda oleh yang bersangkutan,”kata Raden Isnanta.
