Pemerintah diharapkan memiliki instrumen untuk mengarahkan perekonomian yang menguasai hajat orang banyak dengan memiliki badan usaha. Karena namanya badan usaha, seperti badan usaha pada umumnya tentu harus menghasilkan profit. Oleh sebab itu, UU tentang BUMN mencantumkan tujuan pendirian BUMN adalah mengejar keuntungan atau menghasilkan keuntungan,” papar Anis.

“Tentu saja karena BUMN milik negara, maka harus dikelola dengan semangat untuk memberikan kontribusi yang besar bagi negara. Agar negara memiliki pendapatan lebih besar untuk bisa mensejahterakan rakyatnya. Jadi sebagai alat dari negara, BUMN bisa diberikan penugasan,” tandasnya.
Anis menambahkan bahwa pemerintah selama ini sudah memberikan dorongan kepada BUMN dengan memberikan PMN. Namun, PMN bukan satu-satunya solusi dari berbagai permasalahan yang dihadapi BUMN.
