Sikap kecintaaan pada sesuatu hal berdasarkan kesukuan atau primodial memang menjadi salah satu ciri dari perilaku masyarakat Indonesia.
Kendati lahir dan bertumbuh di sejumlah negara lantaran mengikuti sang ayah yang menjalankan tugas diplomatiknya, toh perilaku ini masih melekat di dalam diri seorang Nirina Zubir.
Na begitu dia akrab disapa mengatakan tak ada yang salah dalam cara berpikir kebanyakan masyarakat Indonesia, termasuk dirinya.
Maka sebagai tanda cintanya terhadap kedua orang tuanya, Na memiliki harapan bahwa suatu saat dia harus mendapat kesempatan berperan sebagai seorang wanita Minangkabau dalam film yang diperankannya.
Na bersyukur di penghujung tahun ini, kesempatan tersebut datang lewat sutradara muda Arief Malinmudo yang sebelumnya sukses membuat film seputar sisi kehidupan orang Minangkabau berjudul Surau dan Silek.
Dalam film produksi Mahakarya Pictures ini Arief sekaligus bertindak sebagai penulis naskah film yang menggunakan dua bahasa, yakni Minang dan Indonesia serta sedikit bahasa Inggris dan Perancis.
”Ini doa yang terwujud . Aku memang sudah lama sekali berkeinginan bisa memerankan tokoh yang berasal dari tanah kelahiran kedua orang tuaku,” kata Na, usai hadir dalam press screening film Liam dan Laila di XXI Epicentrum, Kuningan, baru-baru ini.
Tidak Selalu Berakhiran O
Sejatinya sebagai anak seorang diplomat, Na bertumbuh dengan penguasaan sejumlah bahasa dari negara yang ditinggalinya selama beberapa tahun.
Lantas bagaimana dengan bahasa ibu dari daerah asal kedua orangtuanya? Ketika ditanyakan hal ini, sejenak Na tertawa lepas.
“Terus terang kalau di rumah kedua orangtuaku nggak pernah memakai bahasa Minang pada anak-anaknya. Tapi aku sering mendengar mereka berkomunikasi dengan bahasa Minang pada saat ada keluarga yang datang ke rumah. Intinya aku familiar dengan dialek minang, sedikit-sedikit menguasai juga. Hanya saja nggak terbiasa berkomunikasi. Ngerti sih, Cuma bingung nimpalinnya,” ujar Na sembari tersenyum.
Namun ketika didapuk memerankan tokoh Laila di film ini, Na pun berusaha mengasah kemampuan berbahasa Minang.
Hal ini menjadi sebuah tantangan buat Na dan sejumlah pemain yang secara kebetulan sama-sama berasal dari Sumatera Barat.
“Untungnya Arief (sutradara) sangat fleksibel orangnya. Aku dikasih beberapa opsi. Mau bahasa minang yang simple, singkat-singkat aja atau yang rumit. Aku semakin digituin malah semakin tertantang. Aku bilang ya sudah yang rumit juga nggak apa-apa. Hahaha,” urai bintang film Get Marriet itu.
Na menambahkan dengan keterlibatannya di film yang turut diperankan oleh Jonatan Cerrada, juara French Idol 2003 itu, menjadi pembuktian terhadap diri sendiri.
“Istilahnya aku udah sah jadi orang Minang. Karena selama ini kemana-mana aku selalu ngaku sebagai urang awak. Tapi dulu aku sama sekali nggak bisa tuh ngobrol sama orang dengan bahasa minang. Kalau sekarang sih, boleh dicoba. Sekarang Na juga tahu kalau nggak semua bahasa minang itu selalu berakhir o. Wah pokoknya keringat dingin deh pas belajar cengkok minang. Soalnya khawatir nggak pas, nanti malu-maluin,” ujar Na, lagi.
Film Liam dan Laila tayang mulai tanggal 4 Oktober 2018, diangkat dari kisah nyata sepasang anak manusia yang memperjuangkan cinta.
Film ini mengambil lokasi syuting di Bukittinggi, Jakarta dan Paris, menegaskan tentang kebebasan dalam memilih pasangan hidup. Meski adat tetap harus dipertahankan, melalui film ini kita melihat sosok perempuan Minang yang berpikiran terbuka tapi juga tegas dalam prinsip. Sebuah film yang sayang untuk dilewatkan.
